PANAMA CITY, Fla. — In a tightly contested rematch on Sunday, March 9, Marietta College and Valparaiso ended their game in a 3-3 deadlock as the time limit was reached.

Drew Witouski led the Pioneers' offense, going 2-for-4 with one RBI. Bill Holmes also had a productive day at the plate, finishing 2-for-3 with an RBI. Mike Brandts contributed a double to Marietta's offensive effort.

On the mound, Eric Shoup turned in a solid start for Marietta, tossing 5 2/3 innings while allowing just four hits and three runs. Jim Eddy and Steve Gerkin also saw action on the hill for the Pioneers, helping to keep Valparaiso's offense in check.
