PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Marietta College's bats erupted once again as they routed Missouri-Rolla 18-3 on Tuesday, March 11. The win improved the Pioneers' record to 5-1-1 on the season and marked their second victory over Missouri-Rolla during their Florida trip.
 
Mike Brandts led the offensive onslaught, blasting a home run and driving in five runs. His power display set the tone for Marietta's high-scoring affair.
 
John Sudges had an excellent day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with an RBI, a triple, and two runs scored. Bill Holmes continued his hot streak, belting another home run and driving in two runs to add to his impressive Florida performance.
 
The Pioneers' offense showed its depth with contributions from throughout the lineup. Sean Risley, Jeff Marbaugh, and Eric Shoup each chipped in with two RBI, demonstrating the team's ability to produce runs from multiple sources.
 
On the mound, Jim Eddy earned his first win of the season with a strong start, holding Missouri-Rolla scoreless through the first three innings. Scott McVicar came on to close out the game, allowing just three hits and striking out three over the final three innings to record the save.
