Timely hitting, strong pitching helps MC get past Maryville

PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Marietta earned its second win over Maryville as Ron Fama scattered three hits and struck out six in the Pioneers' 2-1 win on Wednesday, March 9.
 
Maryville's Troy Tyner was also impressive on the mound as he allowed five hits and walked three in the loss.
 
Dave Thomas and Marty Sberna each had a hit and an RBI for the Pioneers (7-2), while Mark Talarico and Steve Riley each had a double.
