PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Roger Hart struck out five and allowed three hits as Marietta defeated Butler 9-4 on Tuesday, March 8. It was the Pioneers' third game of the day.
Hart improved to 1-1 on the young season. Despite Hart's strong performance, the Pioneers entered the sixth inning down 4-2. A seven-run outburst gave MC (6-2) the win.
Marietta's Steve Riley went 3-for-4 with a double, one RBI and a stolen base, while Marty Sberna and Jim Pancher each had a double and two RBI.
Butler's Chris Pritchett went 2-for-3, while Joe Segarra had a single and two RBI.
