PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Maryville mustered only three hits, but a four-run first inning was all the Saints needed to defeat Marietta 4-2 on Monday, March 7.
Mike Childress led Maryville with a single, a stolen base and two RBI, while Dan Behlman pitched the final 3 1/3 innings for the win.
Marietta's Dave Thomas, Jim Pancher and Jeff Chaney each had two hits, while John Hamborsky tossed the final 6 2/3 innings. He allowed just two hits and struck out six, while not allowing any runs.
