PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Less than 24 hours after being no-hit by Marietta, Missouri-Rolla's D.J. Steagall belted a three-run home run in the fifth inning to lead the Miners to a 6-5 victory on Sunday, March 13.
Rolla scored five runs in the inning after trailing 4-1. Craig Thomas added two hits and an RBI for the Miners.
Marietta's Bill Varley and Jeff Chaney each went 2-for-4 with two RBI as the Pioneers fell to 12-5.
Ron Fama took the loss after giving up all six runs — four earned — in four innings.
