PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Marietta's John Hamborsky struck out five, while giving up seven hits in the Pioneers' 3-2 victory over Butler on Friday, March 11.
Hamborsky improved to 1-0 on the season, while Jim Kennedy got the final two outs in the seventh inning for his first save.
Butler's Tim King was equally impressive on the bump as he struck out six Pioneers and gave up six hits in the complete-game performance.
MC's Steve Riley and Gary Kohls each had a double, while Marty Sberna, Mark Talarico and Riley each drove in runs.
