MARIETTA — Marietta pitchers Jerry Bishop and Dave Stovall combined to give up nine hits and strike out eight Ohio Dominican hitters as the Pioneers swept a doubleheader at Pioneer Park on Monday, April 13.
Bishop (4-1) scattered six hits and struck out four and walked one in the 4-0 win. Stovall picked up his first win of the season after giving up three hits in a 1-0 victory in the second game.
Ken Lisko two hits and a home run in game one with one RBI. John Schaly and Steve Riley each had a hit and RBI. Riley also had a single and an RBI in the second game. Tom Mohl added a double and Schaly had a single as the Pioneers (30-2-2) were also limited to three hits.
