MARIETTA — Marietta reach 20 wins on the season by defeating Kenyon 10-2 and 13-1 at Pioneer Park on Saturday, March 28.
Dan Munday led the offense in Game 1 with a grand slam in the third inning. He went 2-for-2 with two runs and five RBI. Ken Lisko added a three-run homer in the fifth inning and finished with two hits and one stole base.
Ted Payne (5-0) struck out 10 Kenyon batters over 6 2/3 innings and allowed three hits for the win.
In the second game, Jerry Bishop (2-0) struck out six and scattered five hits in seven innings as Marietta improved to 20-1-2 on the season.
Jon Shuler, batting eighth, went 3-for-5 with a triple, five RBI and three runs as the Pioneers recorded 11 hits. Steve Yurchak went 2-for-5 with one RBI, while Tom Gammiere went 2-for-4 with a double.
