Marietta College Athletics

Davis, the OAC Defensive Player of the Week, was a key member of Marietta's defense during its 24-20 victory over visiting Wilmington College Saturday (Sept. 19) night at Don Drumm Stadium. The captain finished the game with a career-best 16 total tackles, which included 14 solo hits. Davis and the defense rose to the challenge when needed the most, as it held the Quakers to 0-for-5 on fourth down attempts, all of which came inside the Pioneers' own 32-yard line. The strong safety currently ranks in a tie for seventh with 17 total stops through two games in 2009.
