Senior Stephanie Williams led the Marietta women's cross country team to a fourth place finish at its season-opening Carl Brougton Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 12) morning.

The distance specialist, who has not run cross country since she was a freshman in 2006, finished 12th as an individual after covering the 5K course in 21:05.01. It was the fastest times put forth by a Pioneer female on the day at the Broughton Nature and Wildlife Education Area's course.
