Sophomore Gunner Fertig (Eleanor, W.Va. / Buffalo) set a pair of personal records in the Pioneers’ First Glimpse Meet. Fertig won the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.89 seconds. He set a personal record in the prelims with a time of 8.67 seconds. Fertig also had a personal best in the long jump finishing fifth with a mark of 5.77 meters (18’11.25”). He also turned in a fifth-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.11 seconds.
