Men’s Basketball senior wing Jason Ellis (Marion, Ohio/Marion Harding) led the Pioneers to a pair of wins over Wilmington last week giving Marietta four straight victories and a 5-1 overall record. Ellis went 7-for-7 at the free throw line and scored a team-high 16 points in the 76-70 win on Friday. He followed that with 15 points, including a trio of three-pointers, in Marietta’s 91-69 win on Saturday. For the week, Ellis averaged 15.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. He also dished out four assists and had a pair of steals.
