Baseball junior Damian Yenzi (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) was named the OAC Baseball Hitter of the Week after helping the Etta Express to a 3-0 opening weekend, including a pair of wins over nationally ranked opponents. He opened the season with a 3-for-4 day at the plate against Johns Hopkins. Yenzi doubled and scored one of Marietta's two runs in the game. In the win over Cortland, Yenzi had two hits in five at bats. The big blow was a three-run home run in the fifth inning that broke a 1-1 tie. For the week, Yenzi batted .455 with one double, one home run and four runs batted in. He also reached base twice on walks, was hit by a pitch once and scored a pair of runs.
