Football senior quarterback Darrien Fields (Aliquippa, Pa. / Aliquippa) was named the OAC Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Pioneers to a 43-42 come from behind win over Ohio Northern. He engineered a 13-play, 70-yard scoring drive that culminated in a 12-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Barker. He then completed a pass to Clark on the two-point conversion giving Marietta the lead, 43-42, with just 22 seconds left in the game. With four touchdown passes in the game, Fields broke the Marietta College career record. The previous mark of 41 was held by Jason Vrable (2003-06). Fields now has 44 career touchdown passes with six games remaining in the season. Against the Polar Bears, Fields completed passes to eight different receivers and finished the game 25-of-36 for 315 yards.
