Senior point guard Amisha Herd (Zanesville, Ohio/West Muskingum) led the No. 19 ranked women’s basketball team to a pair of wins last week. Herd scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds in MC’s 58-54 win at Capital. She followed that with one of her best all-around performances of the season in the Pioneers’ 90-54 win over John Carroll. Herd hit 5-of-6 shots from the floor, including all three of her three-point attempts, scoring 15 points. In addition, she had five rebounds, seven assists, five steals and two blocked shots. Herd currently leads the OAC with 58 steals and ranks second in three-point shooting (50.0%) and third in assists (63).
