Synder, the OAC Hitter of the Week for the second time in 2010, batted .563 (9-for-16) with four doubles, five runs scored and eight RBI in five games for #7 Marietta last week. He also drew four walks, was hit by four pitches and was successful on both of his stolen base attempts. The Pioneers finished 4-1, sweeping a doubleheader against Capital University on Tuesday, defeating Ohio Wesleyan University on Thursday and splitting a twin bill with #4 Heidelberg University on Saturday.
Synder extended his hitting streak to 24 games and has now reached base in the 29 straight games. His hitting streak ties him for fourth all-time on Marietta's list for consecutive games with a hit.
