Women’s Basketball junior forward Corrie Burkhardt (Zanesville, Ohio / Philo) led the nationally ranked Pioneers to a 73-62 win at John Carroll University last week. Burkhardt notched her second double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds, both team-highs. She shot 5-of-8 from the floor and also had four steals in the game. The win was Marietta’s first in University Heights since 2001. For the season, Burkhardt is averaging 10.9 points per game and leads the Pioneers with 8.6 rebounds per game. Her 71.4% field goal percentage is tops in the OAC.
