Women’s Basketball junior point guard Amisha Herd (Zanesville, Ohio / West Muskingum) averaged 13.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game in Marietta’s two wins last week earning OAC Player of the Week honors. The Pioneers improved to 14-9 overall and 8-8 in the OAC assuring Marietta of its first winning season in 22 years. Herd was 7-of-9 from the floor and scored 16 points in MC’s 64-48 win at Capital. She followed that with her second double-double of the season notching 11 points and a career-high 13 rebounds in MC’s 57-42 win over Wilmington. She also had seven steals and three assists against the Quakers. For the season, Herd is second on the team averaging 10.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. She leads the Pioneers with 54 assists and 48 steals.
