Marietta College Athletics

Sophomore pitcher David Stover (Pittsburgh, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) was named Ohio Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week after tossing 7.1 innings of shutout relief in two appearances at the Methodist Diamond Invitational. Stover held opposing hitters to a .083 batting average and picked up a pair of wins. He threw 3.1 innings in Marietta’s win over Lynchburg and followed that with 4.0 innings in the win against Neumann. He allowed one hit in each appearance. In addition to being named the OAC Pitcher of the Week, Stover was also named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week as a relief pitcher.
