Men’s Basketball senior point guard Tyler Hammond (Cleveland/St. Ignatius) led the Pioneers to the 43rd annual Marietta Shrine Tournament championship last week. Hammond recorded a double-double in the season-opening win over Ohio Christian University with 11 points and 10 assists. He added 10 points, seven rebounds and six more assists in MC’s win over Piedmont College in the championship game. Hammond also converted 8-of-8 free throw attempts in the Piedmont game.
