Men’s Rowing freshman Kevin McCarthy (Cincinnati/St. Xavier) stroked the Pioneers’ novice 4+ “A” shell to the gold medal at the 40th annual Bill Braxton Memorial Regatta last weekend. McCarthy’s boat won the race with open water on the rest of the field. The boat’s lineup included coxswain Janelle Patterson, McCarthy in the stroke seat, Cameron Johnson, Andrew Billingsley and Jack Gleim in the bow.
