Men’s Rowing freshman Kevin McCarthy (Cincinnati/St. Xavier) led the Pioneers to a pair of gold medals at the 27th annual Head of the Ohio last weekend. McCarthy stroked both the novice 8+ and the collegiate 4+ shells. In the novice 8+ race, the Pioneers blew away the field finishing nearly two minutes ahead of the second place crew. The collegiate 4+ shell also won by a large margin crossing the line nearly 40 seconds ahead of the runner-up.
