Junior middle blocker Rachel Hackenberg (Canal Winchester/Franklin Heights) set the Marietta College single match record for block assists and total blocks in a five-set match with 12 in the Pioneers’ loss to Bluffton last week. In the match Hackenberg added nine kills and five digs. In Marietta’s three matches last week, Hackenberg averaged 1.25 blocks per set to go along with 1.58 kills and 0.67 digs per set. For the season, Hackenberg is second on the team with 138 kills and 57 total blocks.
