Senior centerfielder Aaron Hopper (Wheelersburg/Wheelersburg) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Co-Hitter of the Week after hitting .583 (7-for-12) in three games last week going. He collected three doubles, four runs scored and had eight runs batted in. With a pair of walks and a hit batsman, Hopper had an on base average of .625 as the Pioneers went 2-1. With his three doubles last week, Hopper has 53 for his career and is tied for third on Marietta's all-time list with All-American Jay Coakley. Hopper needs seven more doubles to tie All-American Josh Streit for the school record of 60 doubles.
