Marietta College Athletics

Freshman pitcher Lauren Larrick (Leesburg/Fairfield Local) went 3-2 with a 2.15 earned run average during the Pioneers’ 10-game Florida trip. She made four starts in the circle and had two complete games and a shutout. Larrick struck out 13 opposing hitters in 26.0 innings of work. In Marietta’s 7-0 win over Lakeland College (Wis.), Larrick posted a complete-game shutout allowing just two hits and striking out six Lakeland hitters. She also picked up the win against Albion College (Mich.) with 2.2 innings of shutout relief.
