Marietta College Athletics

Sophomore coxswain Megan Oxley and the rest of the women’s varsity 8+ shell won the gold medal at the 2012 Knecht Cup. The Pioneers battled for 2,000 meters and edged regional rival Washington College by just 1.03 seconds for the victory. The rest of the crew included stroke Abigail Klicker, Hailey Ellis, Kelli Barnette, Stephanie Meinert, Ricci Davis, Trisha Wendel, Bridget Dean and bow seat Alyse McNeill. The Pioneers will defend their Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference Championship on April 28th.
