Austin Cordova begins his second year as an assistant coach at Marietta College in 2026-27. Cordova will serve as the Pioneers’ defensive coordinator and coach the linebackers.
Cordova came to Marietta after serving as the defensive run game coordinator and linebackers coach at Ithaca College for one season. Prior to Ithaca, he was the safeties coach and video coordinator for a year at the University of Rhode Island.Â
Cordova started his coaching career as the co-defensive coordinator at Rocky River High School. After four seasons at the high school level, he moved to the collegiate ranks as safeties coach and strength and conditioning coordinator at the College of Wooster. Following a year at Wooster, Cordova spent two seasons coaching linebackers and safeties at Ohio Northern University and serving as the Polar Bears’ recruiting coordinator. After ONU, he was the assistant defensive backs coach at Austin Peay State University for a year.
A native of Perry, Ohio, Cordova played collegiately at Baldwin Wallace University where he earned three varsity letters as a defensive back. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science in 2015.
