Kimberlee Gomber begins her first season as the assistant volleyball coach at Marietta College in 2014.
Gomber comes to Marietta after spending the last year working on a Master’s degree in Sports Management at California University of Pennsylvania. She will complete her degree in August.
Gomber began her coaching career at the prep level in Pennsylvania with the Ringgold School and Fleetwood High School. She has also worked with the Northwestern Volleyball and Quickset Volleyball clubs.
Gomber graduated from Kutztown University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and a minor in Psychology, following a volleyball career for the Golden Bears.
A setter for the Golden Bears, Gomber was a four-year letter winner and team captain. She helped Kutztown to three straight second place finishes in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and finished her career ranked sixth on Kutztown’s all-time list with 1,903 assists.
Gomber had a career-best 600 assists as a junior and 269 digs as a senior. She helped her team to a school record 13 PSAC victories as a junior.
Off the court, Gomber served as president of the Kutztown Student Athletic Advisory Committee and worked as a volunteer for numerous events in the community.
