Emily Ohrn begins her first season at Marietta College as assistant volleyball coach in 2017. She will work primarily with the Pioneer defensive players.
Ohrn comes to Marietta after completing her collegiate playing career at Ohio Valley University, an NCAA Division III member of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. She played four years for the Fighting Scots and finished her career ranked sixth all-time in the GMA for assists.
Ohrn began her coaching career with The Tribe Volleyball Club. She has coached a pair of teams with the Parkersburg, West Virginia based club for the past year.
A native of Sandyville, West Virginia, Ohrn was a standout for Wirt County High School. She named captain of the West Virginia single-A All-State Team as a senior.
Ohrn, a three-time member of the Academic All-GMAC Team, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Wellness from Ohio Valley University in 2017.
