Taylor Floyd begins her first year as the assistant coach for Marietta College women’s soccer in 2022-23.
Floyd comes to Marietta after having a standout career competing for Ohio Wesleyan University. Floyd was the starting goalkeeper for the Battling Bishops from 2019 to 2021 and received All-North Coast Athletic Conference honorable mention honors in her senior season. Her save percentage of 85.3% and her goals against average of .830 were good for first and second in the conference, respectively. She also had six shutouts for the campaign.
Floyd began her coaching career as the goalkeeper coach for the Delaware Select Soccer Club in Delaware, Ohio, where she helped develop skills for younger players ranging from 8 to 18 years of age. She also used her leadership skills developed from her playing days to help position, organize, and instruct players in the midfield and on defense.
A three-sport athlete from Wilton, Connecticut, Floyd graduated from Ohio Wesleyan with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management and Business Administration in May of 2022.
