Katie Ely begins her fourth year as assistant women's rowing coach at Marietta College in 2021-22.
Ely came to Marietta after serving as an assistant coach with the Cooper River Rowing Club and Haddon Township (N.J.) High School. Ely worked with the intermediate masters rowing program at Cooper River. She spent two years primarily coaching the women’s novice program at Haddon Township.
Ely rowed collegiately at Ithaca College, an NCAA Division III institution in Ithaca, N.Y. She was a four-year member of the women’s rowing program and served as the sculling captain her senior year.
Ely earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Ithaca in 2016. She holds a US Rowing Level 2 Coaching certificate.
