Jane McClellan begins her first season as the assistant women's rowing coach at Marietta College in 2015.
Following a highly successful rowing career at Williams College, McClellan spent the last two years as an English instructor with the April Institute in Seoul, South Korea. She taught English through intensive immersion methods to students ages six through 12.
McClellan began her coaching career as a Development Team Resident Assistant with the USRowing Women’s Junior National Team in New London, Conn. She coached singles sculling and supervised 35 athletes from 2011-2012.
A four-year varsity rower at Williams, McClellan was a member of four NCAA Division III National Championships teams from 2009-2012. She earned College Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) first team All-American and Williams Oarswoman of the Year honors in 2012.
Just as successful in the classroom, McClellan was named a CRCA National Scholar-Athlete in each of her final three seasons. In addition, she earned New England Small College Athletic Conference All-Academic Team accolades as a junior and senior.
McClellan graduated from Williams College in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics.
