Annie Devorak begins her second year as the head coach for the Marietta College women’s rowing team in 2024-25.
Devorak arrived in the area in 2021 as a teacher and assistant rowing coach for Marietta High School. In one year, she helped develop a training program that led to every member of the team improving their personal best in 2K times. She also gained a great deal of knowledge during this experience that will help in the recruiting process for future Pioneer rowers.
She also has past coaching experience at the Greater Lawrence Rowing Club in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Devorak served as head coach, creating training plans and introducing drills to improve and develop skills for her racers. Under her guidance, her teams had eight successful and competitive rowing seasons.
Devorak graduated from Marist College with a bachelor's degree in English and Secondary Education in May of 2015. She also serves as a special education teacher in the Marietta City School system.
