Marquia Turner

Marguia Turner begins her first season as assistant women's basketball coach at Marietta College in 2021-22.

Turner comes to Marietta College after serving as the Head junior varsity coach, and the varsity assistant coach for St. Vincent St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio.  Turner was responsible for developing ball handling, and shooting mechanics.  

Turner was also the head coach for the 17U Gold AAU team from Ohio United.  She was responsible for implementing game plans, scouting opponents, and organizing practices to have the team ready to compete at an elite level.  

She is the CEO and founder of KO Elite Training, which she started in 2014.  Turner has trained over 25 clients from youth to college aged, with a focus on physical and mental enhancements to allow athletes to perform their best on game day.

Turner was a member of the Xavier women's basketball team for three years.  She was a starting point guard and team captain.  Turner finished her undergraduate degree at Cleveland State in Communications Management, with a focus on Public Relations.

Turner continued her education and playing career at Texas Southern University.  She was the starting point guard and team captain.  She is completing her Masters' degree in Sport Management.
