Veteran Washington County softball coach Jim Fox joins the Marietta College staff as an assistant coach in 2018. Fox will work with the Pioneer pitchers.
A lifelong resident of Marietta, Fox has been a tireless advocate for softball in the Mid-Ohio valley. Scholastically, he has coached at Marietta Middle School, Marietta High School and Nelsonville York High School. Fox is a past member of the Ohio High School Fastpitch Coaches Association.
In addition to his high school and middle school coaching background, Fox coached the Stingrays of Ohio Softball, an elite travel fastpitch team.
Fox founded and served as president of the Mid-Ohio Fastpitch League. He has also a past-president of the Marietta Softball League and the Marietta Girls Fastpitch Softball Legaue.
Still an active instructor at various softball clinics, Fox continues as a volunteer pitching coach for several area players and programs.
