Spencer Thorn begins his fourth season as head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Marietta College in 2022-23.
Thorn came to Marietta after serving as the varsity tennis coach at West Irondequoit Central High School in Rochester, New York for one year. He has extensive experience as a private and camp tennis coach. Thorn is a certified tennis instructor by the Professional Tennis Registry.
Thorn is the owner of Tennis Replenish, an online tennis supply and apparel company. In addition, he is and audio/visual technician at Ohio University.
A four-year member of the men’s tennis team at Oswego State University, Thorn posted a perfect 12-0 singles record in 2014. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Audio Production and Athletic Coaching from Oswego State in 2017.
