Chad grew up in Williamstown and graduated from Williamstown High School in 1992. He went on to get his Elementary Education Degree from West Virginia University at Parkersburg. He later got a Master's of Divinity from Palmer Theological Seminary. He and his wife Linda reside in Williamstown. Chad has been the Pastor of First Baptist Church in Marietta since 2012. Chad serves as an Ambassador for the Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce as well as serving in many other areas in our community.
Chad has grown up around sports his whole life. He enjoys both college and high school sports. Throughout the year he travels to watch many of our local teams compete in basketball and baseball.
"We constantly ask our players to strive to be the best students, players, and people they can be,” Marietta head coach Jon VanderWal said. “Adding Chad as our character coach will be extremely beneficial in our mission to help our players grow and mature as young men. We are extremely grateful Nations of Coaches connected us with Chad and we are very excited to work with him."
