Anthony Fairhurst

Anthony Fairhurst begins his third season as an assistant coach of the Marietta College men’s basketball team in 2024-25.

Fairhurst spent the 2020-21 season at the University of Charleston as an assistant coach on the men’s basketball team where had a hand in player development as well as leading the strength and conditioning program. Prior to that stop, Fairhurst spent two seasons as the assistant coach at Ohio Dominican University, where he was involved in similar operations.Fairhurst_Family_2022-23

Fairhurst spent the 2016-2018 seasons as the assistant coach at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Along with player development and strength and condition duties, Fairhurst was also the recruiting coordinator. He furthered the program by bringing in the top all-conference freshman in both years of his tenure.

Before he began his college coaching career, Fairhurst was the head junior varsity coach and assistant varsity basketball coach at Ashland High School.

Fairhurst played football during his days as a collegiate athlete, playing wide receiver for Baldwin Wallace University. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Sport Management in 2012 and earned a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Mount Vernon Nazarene in 2018.
