2008: Made the switch from the offensive backfield to the defensive backfield while continuing to return kicks and earned his third varsity letter as a junior. The strong safety played in each of the final nine games, made eight starts and paced all Pioneer tacklers in hits with 67, including 45 solo stops, and forced fumbles with two. His 7.4 tackling average ranked him 14th in the OAC. He led Marietta in tackles in four games and collected a career-high 11 stops against Muskingum. The junior also handled the primary kick return duties. Davis, who had a return for a touchdown against Heidelberg, finished with 17 returns for 421 yards. He averaged 24.8 yards, which ranked second in the league. Davis earned Academic All-OAC and ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District honors.

2007: As a sophomore, Davis continued to earn more of a role in the rushing attack and earned his second varsity letter. He finished third on the squad with 58 rushes for 150 yards and scored two touchdowns. Making five starts, he also caught nine passes for 35 yards and one score. He ran for a career-high 42 yards on 11 carries with a touchdown against Saint John’s and added a career-best 18 carries, which went for 36 yards, against Baldwin-Wallace.

2006: Working his way into the starting rotation at running back, Davis earned his first varsity letter as a freshman. He had 38 carries for 96 yards and seven receptions for 66 yards. His best game came against Ohio Northern when he had nine carries for 31 yards.
