Zach Feltrop begins his sixth season on the Marietta College coaching staff in 2024. He serves as the Pioneers’ defensive coordinator and also coaches the linebackers.

Under Feltrop's leadership, the Pioneer defense ranked among the leaders in NCAA Division III during the COVID-shortened spring 2021 season in sacks with 3.8 per game (ranked seventh nationally), fumbles recovered with 6 (ranked eighth) and turnovers gained with 12 (ranked ninth). Junior defensive end Drake Neuberger was named the OAC Paul Hoernemann Defensive LIneman of the Year and a first team All-American by D3football.com. Senior defensive tackle Kyle Gallagher was first team All-OAC and second team All-America by D3football.com.

Feltrop came to Marietta after serving as an assistant coach at his alma mater Geneva College, an NCAA Division III member of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference, for eight seasons. He joined the Golden Tornado staff as linebackers coach in 2011.

Feltrop took on the added responsibility of head junior varsity coach in 2013 and was promoted to defensive coordinator in 2015. He has coached 25 All-PAC players and had five players earn either National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) or Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-American honors.

A four-year varsity letter winner at Geneva, Feltrop started three seasons at linebacker and served as a team captain his senior season. He earned all-conference honors three times and was twice named an NCCAA All-American. Feltrop led the Golden Tornadoes in tackles during three of his four seasons.

Feltrop received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing from Geneva in 2008. He and his wife Ericka reside in Williamstown, W.Va. with their son Sam, and daughter Josie Jean.
