Terry Geiger begins his first year as an assistant coach on the Marietta College football staff in 2022-23. Geiger will coach the Pioneer wide receivers.
Geiger comes to Marietta from Otterbein University where he served as a graduate assistant coach, working with receivers, in 2021. On a weekly basis, Geiger gained coaching experience as he contributed to the game plan and even served as offensive coordinator for the Cardinals’ junior varsity squad. He gained experience in scouting and game film breakdown to help the team in preparation for upcoming contests.
Geiger served as assistant recruiting coordinator at Otterbein, communicating directly with recruits and building relationships with prospective student athletes.
Geiger competed collegiately at Muskingum University for the first two years of his playing career. He was named Offensive Player of the Year for the Muskies as a sophomore, with 39 receptions and four touchdowns.
Geiger transferred to Defiance College where he earned All-Heartland Collegiate Conference honors his junior and senior seasons. He had 45 receptions during those two years, averaging 14.1 yards per catch.
A native of Columbus, Ohio, Geiger graduated from Defiance with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management in May of 2021. He earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Otterbein in 2022.
