Sam Rohr

Sam Rohr begins his second season as assistant football coach at Marietta College in 2017. He will coach the Pioneer tight ends.

Rohr came to Marietta after a successful playing career at the University of Northern Iowa, an NCAA Division I member of the Missouri Valley Football Conference. He was a four-year varsity letterman for the Panthers playing as a tight end and a member of the special teams.

An All-State honoree at Central High School in Brookfield, Wisconsin, Rohr made an immediate impact at Northern Iowa playing in all 11 games and starting seven as a freshman. He was named to the Missouri Valley Football Conference All-Newcomer Team and the College Sports Journal All-Freshman Team.

Rohr has extensive football camp experience having worked the UNI summer camps and training athletes with Ted Lang’s Team Speed & Fitness in Milwaukee. He completed an internship with NX Level Sports Performance in the spring of 2016.

In addition, Rohr has served as the assistant strength coach at Eisenhower High School in New Berlin, Wisconsin and Cedar Falls High School in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Rohr graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Movement & Exercise Science and Sports Psychology and a minor in coaching.
