Roger Walker begins his first season as assistant football coach at Marietta College in 2023. He will coach the Pioneer running backs.
Walker returned to join his alma mater’s coaching staff after a milestone-rich playing career for the Pioneers. Walker is one of three players in program history to rush for over 4,000 yards (4087). He earned D3football.com All-American first team status in his senior year as well as earning a spot on the D3football.com All-Region first team in his final two years.
In his career, Walker is second all-time at Marietta College with 52 touchdowns and 316 points scored. He led the Ohio Athletic Conference in rushing yards in junior season and touchdown in his senior season. He had 14 games in his illustrious career where he rushed for over 100 yards, three times rushing for over 200 yards.
The Palm Bay, Florida native began coaching the running backs at his high school alma mater, Bayside High School, in August of 2020 and then began working for cross town Heritage High School earlier this year.
Walker graduated from Marietta College in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management.
