Matt Daniels, a 2008 graduate of The Ohio State University, joins the Pioneer football staff for the 2009 season.
Daniels, who will coach the tight ends, played for the Buckeyes from 2004-2008 where he earned Student-Athlete honors four years in a row.
Before coming to Marietta College, Daniels interned with Ohio State, aiding with the quarterbacks and offense. He was also a substitute teacher and assistant track coach at New Albany High School.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to assist Coach Filkovski and his staff at such an exciting college in an outstanding conference,” Daniels said.
Daniels, a native of New Albany, Ohio, lives in Marietta.
