Kyle Jacobo begins his first season as assistant football coach at Marietta College in 2017. He will coach the Pioneer wide receivers.
Jacobo comes to Marietta after serving as the running backs coach at Arizona Christian University, an NAIA institution in Phoenix, for one season. In addition to coaching two all-conference running backs, Jacobo also assisted with the Firestorm special teams.
Prior to his time at Arizona Christian, Jacobo spent two years at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater helping the Warhawks to a pair of Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl appearances and the 2014 National Championship.
Jacobo coached the Whitewater tight ends and wide receivers and also served as the assistant recruiting coordinator. Three of his position players earned all-conference honors and one was named all-region.
Jacobo began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Red Mountain High School in Mesa, Arizona. After a year of prep coaching he took an assistant coaching position at the University of Mary, an NCAA Division II member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Following a year at Mary, Jacobo spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Northern Arizona University. He coached the Lumberjack tight ends, assisted with special teams and served as the scour defense coordinator. Northern Arizona earned a FCS Playoff bid in 2013.
Jacobo graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science and a minor in Chicano Studies. He earned a master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University in 2013.
