Darrien Fields

Darrien Fields begins his second season as an assistant coach at Marietta College in 2021. Fields will coach the Pioneer wide receivers.

A four-year member of the football team, Fields took over as the Pioneers’ number one quarterback midway through the first game of his sophomore season. He would go on to start the next 29 games leading Marietta to a 16-13 record in those starts.

Fields rewrote the Pioneer record book setting the career marks for pass completions (561) and passing touchdowns (56). He also owns the single game record for touchdown passes (5) and passing yards (414) and the single season record for touchdown passes (22) and pass completions (202).

Fields earned All-OAC honors twice in his career garnering first team recognition as a senior and second team honors his sophomore season. In his three seasons as the starting quarterback, he led the OAC in completion percentage twice and was second the other year. Fields completed 67.1% of his passes as a senior and 64.4% as a sophomore to lead the league. His 67.2% as a junior was second best in the OAC.

Fields graduated from Marietta College in 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.
