Dan Starr, a 2012 graduate of Marietta College, begins his third year as an assistant coach for the Pioneers. Starr coaches the tight ends.
Starr coached his first All-OAC honoree in Josh Llaneza in 2013, who received honorable mention.
A four-year letter winner for the Pioneers, Starr wreaked havoc on opposing offenses from his linebacker position. Starr recorded 216 career tackles, including six sacks and 17 tackles for a loss.
Starr earned honorable mention All-OAC honors as a senior after finishing second on the team with 65 tackles with two sacks and six tackles for a loss.
Starr excelled in the classroom as well as on the gridiron. He was named honorable mention Academic All-OAC both his junior and senior years and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education in 2012.
