Damon Jones begins his first season as assistant football coach at Marietta College in 2023. He will coach the Pioneer defensive backs.
Jones spent the last five years working as an assistant high school coach in Ohio and Florida, helping many student-athletes that have moved on to Division 1 programs, such as Ohio State, Cincinnati, Florida, Florida State, Alabama, & LSU.
The Pomeroy, Ohio, native was a four-year starter at Muskingum University (2014-2017). Playing the wide receiver position, Jones set the school record for receiving yards in a season with 875 yards on 49 receptions in his senior campaign. He was a two-time All-OAC selection, earning that award in his junior and senior season. He was also a captain during those two seasons.
He currently reside in Marietta with his wife, Jordan, and their three children, London, Jaydon, and Ari.
