Adam Eichhorn begins his eighth year as an assistant coach at Marietta College in 202. Eichhorn will coach the Pioneer running backs.
Under Eichhorn's direction, Pioneer running back Bruce Agnew led the OAC in rushing and was named first team All-OAC. In 2018 Tanner Clark earned honorable mention All-American honors and was twice named first team All-OAC. In 2017 Roger Walker earned first team All-America honors. Walker finished his career as a two-time All-American, first team All-Region and first team All-OAC performer. He was also named the 2016 OAC Bob Packard Most Outstanding Offensive Back.
Eichhorn returned to Marietta College after spending four years coaching football at Marietta High School, including two seasons as the Tigers’ head coach. Prior to his stint with the Tigers, Eichhorn served as the defensive coordinator at his alma mater, Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa.
Eichhorn began his coaching career at Marietta College. He served as the Pioneers’ defensive line coach in 2007 and 2008.
A four-year starter at linebacker, Eichhorn served as a team captain at Cornell for three seasons. He earned numerous awards with the Rams including defensive rookie of the year, defensive MVP twice, and most inspirational player three times.
Eichhorn earned all-conference honors in 2005 and was a pre-season All-American before an injury limited his playing time his senior year. He stands fifth all-time in total tackles at Cornell and was the Male Athlete of the Year as a senior.
Eichhorn received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business from Carroll College in 2006. He completed a Master of Arts in Education from Marietta in 2009 and is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Akron.
A native of Maquoketa, Iowa, Eichhorn and his wife Andrea reside in Marietta with their daughter Areana.
